Roemichs Get Financial Exposure… As The World Mark Money Week

In celebration of this year’s Global Money Week, Students and Staff of Roemichs International Schools, Ilorin were exposed to the nitty-gritty of financial dealings in order to empower them with the tools and inspiration to take charge of their future.

The Global Money Week, which was initiated by the Child and Youth Finance International in 2012, is a money awareness celebration with the goal to teach children and youth about money, saving, creating livelihoods, gaining empowerment and becoming an entrepreneur through fun and interactive activities.

Between 2012 and 2015, some 9.6 million children and youth from over one hundred countries have participated in the Global Money Week through planning, organizing and actualization of events marking the week as well as in the discussions and knowledge sharing opportunities that the week affords the participants.

This year’s theme is “Take Part. Save Smart” and is aimed at encouraging children and youth to learn and take part in clever cost-management habits from an early age, in order to avoid financial exclusion while developing key money managing skills for their future endeavours.
